Who we are
EditMyStatement is run by Rafiqul Awal, founder of Awal36 Technologies. For the past 8+ years Rafiqul has worked almost exclusively with international clients on document editing engagements of every size — from a single-page correction to a 500-page accessibility audit. The work spans every common document format (PDF, Word, Excel, InDesign, PowerPoint, LaTeX, Google Docs, scanned images) and every common use case (loan applications, court bundles, academic submissions, regulatory filings, internal reports, ATS-friendly CVs, fillable forms, GDPR-compliant redaction, multi-currency invoices).
What this means in practice: you are not getting a generalist VA. You are getting someone who has seen the way a UK law firm files a court bundle, the way a US mortgage broker packages a loan application, the way a UAE property agent formats a tenancy contract, the way a Canadian recruiter structures an ATS-friendly CV, and the way an Australian academic formats a thesis to its university's exact template. What we do best
Three things we have done more than 8 years of, every week, for clients who care about the result.
- PDF editing with layout integrity. We can change a name, a date, a number, a paragraph, a header, a logo, or a watermark in a PDF and have the rest of the document look as if nothing was touched. This is the core of the business and the work our flagship service on PeoplePerHour has 145+ confirmed sales on.
- Document restoration and reformatting. Faded paper, damaged scans, corrupt PDFs, files that won't open in modern software — we have fixed thousands of these and have a track record of recovery that beats most generalist "data entry" services.
- OCR and scanned-document cleanup. We run scanned PDFs, photos, faxes, and handwriting through high-accuracy OCR and then a human review pass, in 100+ languages. The output is editable, properly structured, and ready to use.
What we believe
Three principles guide every engagement.
- Quality is a discipline, not an accident. Every job is overseen personally. Every change is reviewed for layout integrity before delivery. Every delivery is tested in at least two viewers. We do not ship work that has not been seen by a human pair of eyes.
- Confidentiality is the default, not the upgrade. Every file is encrypted in transit and at rest, every access is logged, every file is deleted within 14 days. NDAs are signed at no extra charge. We do not use AI models on client documents for training.
- Honesty over sales. If we cannot do the job, we say so. If the price is higher than you expected, we explain why. If a document falls into a category we cannot perfectly deliver, we tell you upfront. We have walked away from jobs that were not legitimate, and we will continue to do so.
