What we can do with bank statements
We work with statements from virtually every bank in the world, across every format a bank can produce. Here are the most common tasks we handle.
- Reformatting — convert a statement from one bank's template to another template (useful for applications that need a specific bank's format)
- Layout repair — fix skewed scans, broken columns, missing rows, mangled tables, off-page totals, truncated dates, misaligned numbers, font substitutions
- OCR cleanup — convert a photo of a printed statement into a clean, properly-tagged PDF with selectable text. See our OCR services page
- Currency and language conversion — convert a statement from one currency to another (using the day's published rate, with a small disclaimer note), or change the language of the headers
- Page reformatting — combine multiple monthly statements into a single annual statement document, or split an annual statement into twelve monthly pages
- Data extraction — pull the data from a statement into a spreadsheet (CSV or XLSX) for accounting or analysis. See our PDF conversion page
- PDF redaction — remove specific transactions or personal details while keeping the rest of the statement intact. See our redaction page
- Header and footer repairs — fix missing bank logos, account numbers that fall off the page, page numbers, statement dates, sort codes, IBANs
Why statement formatting matters
A bank statement is a legal document, and most institutions that receive one as part of an application expect it to look like the original. A statement that looks "off" — wrong font, broken table, garbled text, misaligned columns — raises a red flag and can either delay the application or trigger a manual review that takes weeks.
The most common reasons a statement ends up looking "off" are:
- Downloaded as an image — many bank portals only let you download statements as flattened images or non-OCR'd PDFs. We OCR the file, rebuild the layout, and make it look like the actual PDF you would have received directly from your bank.
- Photographed in poor light — most people photograph a paper statement to send it on, but a phone photo in low light is skewed, low-contrast, and often partially obscured. We deskew, de-noise, and re-typeset the content.
- Scanned on a flatbed at the wrong DPI — a 150 DPI scan looks fine on screen but is useless for printing and looks amateurish. We re-render at 300 DPI minimum.
- Wrong template — some applications need the statement formatted to a specific template (e.g. an embassy might require statement in their template format). We rebuild the statement to match.
- Mixed PDF and image statements — the front page is a clean PDF, the rest are photos or bad scans. We unify the whole document to look consistent.
None of this is complicated — it is just tedious, and most people do not have the time or the PDF tools. We do.

Privacy and confidentiality
Bank statements are some of the most sensitive documents you will ever share. We take that seriously.
- TLS-encrypted transfer for every upload and download
- AES-256 encryption at rest in our file store
- Two-person access — only the editor assigned to your job plus one accountable reviewer can open the file
- Automatic deletion — source files, working drafts, and final outputs are permanently deleted within 14 days of delivery
- NDA on request — for banks, lenders, embassies, or regulated industries, project-specific NDAs are signed before we touch the file. Included in the project cost.
- No AI training — we never use AI models on bank statements. Every change is made by a human editor using professional tools.
- Audit trail — every deliverable is logged with editor ID, timestamp, and revision history. Available on request for compliance-sensitive work.
How long it takes
Standard delivery: 48 hours from quote approval. Most small statement reformats are delivered within 24 hours.
Express delivery: 12 hours, +£20 per order. Available 24/7 including weekends.
For multi-document or multi-month jobs (e.g. 12 monthly statements), turnaround scales linearly: 12 statements takes about 1 to 2 business days, 24 statements takes about 3 to 4 business days. We can parallelize up to 3 editors on the same job for faster delivery on bulk orders.
Pricing
Statement formatting is typically priced per page, with the rate depending on the complexity of the reformatting.
- Light reformatting — £25 per page. Typical when we have a clean PDF and just need to re-typeset to a different template.
- Standard reformatting — £35-50 per page. Typical when we need to OCR the scan, re-typeset, and rebuild the layout to match a template.
- Heavy reformatting — quoted per project. Typical when the source is a photograph in poor light, the document is in a non-Latin script, or there are special requirements (multi-currency, multi-language, custom layout).
For an instant estimate, use the calculator on our homepage. For a custom quote on a multi-document job, message us on WhatsApp with one sample file and we will respond within 2 hours.
What is allowed and what is not
We are a formatting service. We work on the visual presentation and structure of documents you own or have legitimate access to. We do not provide services intended to:
- Misrepresent your financial position to a lender, landlord, or institution
- Fabricate or alter transaction histories, balances, or dates beyond visual cleanup
- Create documents that purport to be from a bank when they are not
- Help with any application to a regulated entity (lender, landlord, government) by submitting altered documents
For legitimate needs — reformatting for clarity, OCR cleanup for accessibility, language conversion for personal use, presentation polishing for a real document — we are your team. We reserve the right to refuse any project that appears to be for misrepresentation, and we report suspected fraud to relevant authorities where required.
If you are unsure whether your use case is appropriate, message us on WhatsApp — we will give you an honest answer in five minutes.
